Cellar Beast Main Production Space
Cellar Beast’s main production space is designed with minimal intervention in mind. With a small footprint and carefully selected white oak vessels, the focus of a Cellar Beast wine is definitely on the natural characteristics of the grapes themselves. The winery strives to faithfully deliver a terroir-driven wine by blending time-honored old-world techniques with modern methods.
The production facility includes an expansive barrel room that blends into the tasting room. This allows guests to tour the facility and wine tasting directly from French oak barrels, and offers a great hall for wine pairing dinners, a memorable experience at Wine Club events, and private tastings.
The Vineyard
The vineyard itself grows a combination of grape varieties, both traditional and hybrid, with the intent of eventually growing all the grapes they require for their wines, organically and biodynamically. The vineyard itself doesn’t yet produce all of the grapes needed to fill our wine glass, so grape varieties are also sourced from an array of wine country growers who meet the quality requirements that Cellar Beast expects.
This blend of local estate-grown grapes and sourced grapes allows us to fill our wine list with a range from dry whites to reds with a variety of price options.
Our Location
Nestled at the southern edge of Schuylkill County in the heart of the coal region along a residential street, the production space is both utilitarian and evocative; with dark colors, dim lights and stunning views of the vineyards through big windows.
The ambiance is conducive to both wine-making and drinking: it’s fun to walk around, tour the facility, bring an additional guest, do a blind tasting, have a wine experience – linger and join the Wine Club.
Cellar Beast Winehouse is a production site to be sure, but it’s a celebratory space of winemaking; a space that offers interventions to improve the interaction between the wine lover and the glass of wine.
