2022 La Bête: A Bold and Unique Wine from Cellar Beast Winehouse
Product Description
"The Beast" is a harmonious blend of 60% Carmenere and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced by Cellar Beast from the finest regions of the Yakima Valley AVA in Washington state. This robust blend matured for 14 months exclusively in French oak barrels, showcasing an intense profile of concentrated flavors. It reveals a peppery structure complemented by abundant dark fruit and a powerful, "Beast-Like" tannic foundation, which secured a Silver Medal at the 2024 Sommeliers Choice Awards with an 89-point rating. A previously exclusive special release for wine club members only.
Tasting Notes
A classic Bordeaux blend with black fruit and red fruits, black cherries, green herbs, black tea, mint, and subtle notes of coffee, featuring a refined palate and polished tannins with a lingering finish.

Aged in neutral French Oak barrels for fourteen months to enhance its rich flavor profile, but balanced with a heavy polished tannic structure.

A robust blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from Horse Heaven Hills AVA of Washington State and 40% Carmenére from Pontin del Roza Vineyard in the Yakima Valley AVA, WA.
The Cabernet Sauvignon exudes blackberry, black cherry, and dark fruit flavors from the warmer climate and longer growing season of Horse Heaven Hills, plum and cassis from the sandy loam soil structure, complimented by herbal and mint notes lent by the pronounced diurnal swing.
The warm days and cool nights of the Yakima Valley help the Carmenére develop rich fruit flavors while maintaining a critical acid profile. The microclimate of the Pontin del Roza vineyard enhances Carmenére’s signature notes of green bell pepper skins, cloves and hints of spice.
