Tasting Notes

To the eye, this wine presents a deep crimson color with violet highlights which leads to complex aromatics of dark fruit which are cradled by thick earthy elements. On the palate, the wine is balanced with more dark fruit leading the way to fine-grained tannins that present old world essence of cedar and warm vanilla elements.

Special Notes About Midnight Archer

Cabernet Sauvignon has different character from each AVA, sub AVA, and vineyard we work with. We fell in love with the Cabernet from Red Mountain back in 2020 and have enjoyed have vineyard specific offerings. The Midnight Archer is always using Cabernet from Quintessence Vineyard which can go as high as 1,106ft elevation and has a diverse loam soil which like in Napa’s Cabs helps to add a richness and density to the Cabernet Sauvignon. The supporting grapes add to the mouthfeel and just that small percent of Carménère brings a light pepper note on the nose. Our expression of this Bordeaux style blend is meant to evoke the feeling that you are in a small village in Bordeaux tasting the true old world. This
