Tasting Notes
To the eye this wine arrives a deep burgundy color showing the depth of extraction from this highly pigmented variety. In the aroma the wine presents as ripe pomegranate with earthy elements of baking spice, cedar, warm vanilla bean and first of season fresh violets. The flavor of this wine is driven by dark cherry with a youthful balanced acidity derived from the cool nights in the Yakima Valley. Once this wine builds on the palate the earthy elements begin to show in silky tannice structure balanced with leather and cigar box cedar notes.

This wine is sourced from the heart of Yakima Valley, WA near the city of Benton City, WA at the Meek Vineyard at an elevation of 600ft. The cool night balanced with the high daytime temperatures allows the Cabernet Sauvignon from this vineyard to reach optimum ripeness with the perfect balance of freshness from the desired acidic level for a perfectly balanced expression of this noble red wine variety.
